To commemorate World AIDS Day, APLA Health is conducting a food drive and encouraging individuals across Los Angeles County to donate non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products for people living with HIV.
APLA Health sees more than 14,000 low-income patients each year, and a typical client of our Vance North Necessities of Life Program (NOLP) food pantry lives on less than $1,000 per month. Proper nutrition is vital to the health and well-being of people living with HIV, so NOLP distributes 120,000 bags of free groceries each year out of 8 food pantries across the County (Santa Monica, Lancaster, North Hollywood, Mid-Wilshire, South L.A., Long Beach, Pasadena, and Claremont).
What do our clients need?
This holiday season, we are calling on everyone in our community to purchase and donate any of the following non-perishable or personal items, and/or conduct a food drive of their own to collect these items.
