Our dedicated volunteers increase our capacity to serve the community 10 times over. People of many skills and backgrounds come through our doors every year, as teams or as individuals, for assignments from phone banking to bagging groceries to helping with one of our fund raisers. Each year, we benefit from the work of more than 1,500 volunteers who contribute more than 65,000 hours of service at a value of $1.1 million per year.
We are now accepting applications for the following volunteer opportunities:
HIV Access, Client Services
The Vance North Necessities of Life Program (NOLP) provides groceries to over 1,700 clients who live on a limited income. Clients are able to access the food bank weekly and take home five bags of groceries per visit. They receive a wide variety of predetermined items that include fresh dairy, frozen meats, fresh produce, and an assortment of canned and dry goods that cover 100% of weekly meals as well as hygiene items and cleaning supplies.
