David Alajajian grew up between LA and the SF Bay area. It was high school statistics that got him interested in the flexibility and diverse thinking involved in medicine and biology. He took this interest to UC Berkeley where he studied Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis on Immunology. Following this he worked in an immunology research lab in UCSF. Then he went across the country to New York Medical College for his MD followed by Internal Medicine Residency at Hofstra/Northwell Health in Long Island. In 2017 he returned to Los Angeles with his partner, joining a historic HIV care practice and research facility. He now comes to us as Site Director for the new Michael Gottlieb Health Center after serving the past two years as the CMO of The Doctor startup right next door.
