On Tuesday February 7th, #HealthyHim and NETWORX will be hosting a Black Queer Market in Conference Room D from 3pm–8pm in partnership with black owned businesses from the surrounding area. During this event, we will be offering incentivized HIV testing and hosting an engaging and immersive PrEP/PEP presentation and also sharing current data that still shows that Black people are disproportionately affected by HIV. This will serve as our official NBHAAD (National Black HIV & AIDS Awareness Day) event and will also be the launch to our Black History Month Celebration.

On Saturday, February 11th, NETWORX in partnership with the Out Here Sexual Health Clinic will host the second event in our Sexual Health Saturdays series at the Out Here Sexual Health Center from 9am–2pm where HIV testing, STD testing and treatment, PrEP & PEP services, and mpox vaccinations will be open and available to the community and all participants.

In addition, on Saturday, February 18th, NETWORX will be partnering with The Resilient One which is a black owned organization based in LA where we will be aiding and assisting with the packaging of clothing that will be donated to the community on Skid Row. At this event, titled “PrEP The Love” we will be hosting/holding space for the packing of the clothing items in addition to our program materials, offering on site incentivized HIV testing to all participants that come to assist us and the event is being promoted to local college students that need community service hours.

In conclusion, on Friday, February 24th, NETWORX will close out Black History Month with the “Back to Black” Drag Show dedicated to the icons of Black Music. The theme is “Black Music: A Night at the Grammys”. This event will be hosted by Kaylan and will feature drag performances of classic hits by Donna Summer, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé and more.
